What are the best Michigan Medicare supplement plans the agency markets?
Medicare Supplement Plan G: Plan G helps cover many of the out-of-pocket expenses like coinsurance, copayments, and deductibles that Original Medicare (Parts A and B) leaves behind. While it offers robust coverage, it's typically one of the more expensive plans. Keep in mind, though, that it doesn't include dental, vision, or prescription benefits, and you'll still be responsible for the Part B deductible (set at $257 for 2025) as well as any services Medicare doesn't cover. On the plus side, Plan G does cover Part B Excess.
Medicare Supplement Plan N: Medicare Supplement Plan N is a favorite among our clients. It takes care of the Medicare Part A coinsurance for hospital stays and even extends coverage for another 365 days after your standard Medicare benefits run out. It also helps cover the Medicare Part B coinsurance for medical charges although you will still be on the hook for co-pays of up to $20 for office visits and up to $50 for emergency room visits. As a heads up, this plan does not cover the Part B deductible or Part B Excess.
Medicare Supplement High Deductible Plan G: Another favorite within the practice. This high-deductible plan gives you the same benefits as regular Plan G once you've paid (Medicare related charges) a $2,870 deductible for the year. That means your coverage only kicks in after you've spent that amount on services normally covered by the policy. Remember, Plan G doesn't include dental, vision, or prescription drug coverage, and it also doesn't cover the Part B deductible or any services that Medicare doesn't cover.
In addition to our most popular plans, we offer a variety of options. With quotes from over 55 carriers, we are confident we can find a plan that suits your needs.
The agency will continue to work with Michigan seniors with regards to their health coverage. This includes all available supplement plans , Advantage plans, and Part D prescription plans. Also, we offer dental plans designed to meet every client's needs. We have access to all major carriers, so request a quote to see if we can better your situation. All it takes is a phone call.

What is part B Excess Charges? Excess charges are the extra fees a provider may bill you if they don't accept Medicare assignment. This could be up to 15% more than Medicare's approved rate. To protect yourself from these extra costs, always ask your provider if they accept "Medicare assignment" before getting any service. - Remember Plan G covers these charges, however Plan N and the High Deductible Plan G do not.
What is the difference between Plan G and Plan N? Plan G in Michigan covers all costs for Medicare Part B services, while Plan N covers most but leaves you with copayments for doctor visits and emergency room trips. Because of this, Plan G usually comes with a higher monthly premium than Plan N.
